Research Topics for IB?

I have been looking through a list of foreign films. Some topics I'm interested are WW2 films. This would be a good topic because multiple countries were encompassed in this war and they all have different perspectives about the war. Or I might lean towards action or gangster or spy films. Some British films I have been looking at are the James Bond movies. I am trying to pick films that are from different countries that I have already seen before or have some knowledge of. That way I can relate to them. I guess the films I am interested in pursuing are action/drama films.

    I like the World War 2 idea, as it would be interesting to compare and contrast different countries perspectives on similar subjects/battles throughout the war. For example, two very different movies with completely different perspectives on the same exact battle would be "Flags of our Fathers" in comparison to "Letters from Iwo Jima" although this wouldn't exactly be a prime example as the movies are both directed by Clint Eastwood, but I think you get my point...

    That sounds interesting. If you focus on WW2, I like Gabe's idea of comparing the different perspectives and view points. Maybe you could focus in on a specific area of the film though, rather than the entire film.
